Heaven
by Pastor Brent Nordan | February 21, 2012
Heaven.
Paul got a glimpse of it and wrote these words: “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ~ Romans 8:38-39.
77% of Americans believe in heaven. 76% believe they can get there, but I’m here to tell ya, ya gotta have a reservation!!
1) It’s a place – a real place
2) It’s a spacious place – God’s place is BIG
3) It’s a special place
4) It’s a spiritual place – Jesus ascended into heaven, and he’s coming back!
In heaven, God “will wipe every tear from [your] eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” ~ Rev 21: 4.
When the Roll is Called up Yonder I’ll be There
When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there.
On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His resurrection share;
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
This world is not my home, and I’m homesick!
Making The Right Call
by Pastor Brent Nordan | February 8, 2012
Making the Right Call
This past Sunday we had a lot of fun with the football finale theme. We were dressed in referee shirts, had a mock football field in the foyer and we just had a great time in the Lord. We determined, based on Acts 2:21, that “… whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” This perfect call means that NOTHING else matters if you make the right call – call on the Lord.
We know that Satan comes back at you with familiar things. You don’t have to let him in. Matthew 6:24 tells us that “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” Joshua 24:15 tells us this: “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Folks, it’s a choice, and God is on your side! The Devil will try to get on your side, foul you up, trick you, and mess you up. You need to throw a flag when that happens. Even sometimes, the Devil will try to catch you in a weak, vulnerable state, pulling a new trick out, but God is faithful! There is a difference between weakness and wickedness. Get on the victory side!
You must make the right call!
Daniel Came Out Of The Lions Den
by Pastor Brent Nordan | January 31, 2012
Daniel came out of the lions' den with favor ALL OVER HIM. He had not only the favor of God on him, but he was rewarded with the favor of man.
Daniel 6:24-28:
24And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den. 25Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
26I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
27He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. 28So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
We are now in the year of order and peace, a kingdom shift where things are turning in our favor just like Daniel.
Psalm 119:133~ "Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me."
Psalm 37:23 ~ "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way."
John 3:30 ~ " He must increase, but I must decrease."
God will open doors that you never dreamed He would open for you. You might have been in the lions' den, but you are coming out!
Daniel 6:28 - put your name in the blank where Daniel's name was: "So this _____________prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian."
Kingdom shift. Kingdom shift. Kingdom shift.
It's coming your way in this year of order and peace. God bless you.

Keeping it Between the Lines
by Pastor Brent Nordan | November 1, 2011
Just wanted to remind you of a few things this week from our service this past Sunday.
1) When you go outside the lines there are repercussions.
2) When you stay inside the lines there are rewards.
3) When you stay inside the lines there are responsibilities.
4) Rearrange your life from GOing and DOing to doing GOOD.

Summer, Summer, Summer...
by Pastor Brent Nordan | August 24, 2011
It came. We enjoyed it. The heat lasted. We are enduring it. It's about over and we are rejoicing that we have survived it! At times our lives are like summer. It's fun when it starts but many times the lengthy days and hot days and long nights take their toll on us. There are many lonely hearts and things that hurt us. Let me remind you that summer is about over and the length, the heat, the wondering, the dryness and drought are coming to an end. The season of hot and dry is almost over and Fall is coming! So hang in there keep praying, keep loving, keep giving, and be faithful because Fall is about to start and your harvest is getting ready to be reaped.
Be Blessed and stay cool. See you in church!

Shark Week
by Pastor Brent Nordan | August 9, 2011
The past week I think it would be fair to say the chatter around the water cooler, the buzz, conversations, excitement, families gathered around the t.v and the talk of the town has been Shark Week. This one week has captured our imagination and interest. Your reaction to shark week can range from fear to fascination. But one thing is for sure it keeps your attention.
It lures us and captures our interest and intrigue by the mystery and fascination of these great fish we call sharks. But always remember sharks are not only in the ocean. There are sharks in life. Be careful when you spot them or swim with them. And be sure to get help if you are attacked. Guard your lifestyle, avoid temptation, and be watchful of things that pertain to your christian walk, growth and development. Don't let these areas be attacked by sharks.
